Getting to be a family

With the addition of our new puppy, my family love to joke with me that we have a growing family. No I don’t want kids and maybe that is why they tease me about my two dogs being my kids! :) I guess it is the closest think my parents are going to get as far as grandkids, at least from me!
Sadie and Tucker are doing wonderfully. After the first few weeks Sadie really took to Tucker, and Tucker has been attached to her since we got him. Tobby and I have been reading a lot about having a puppy with an older dog and she is doing everything correctly, which is a little surprising since she never had pups of her own. She corrects him when he is wrong and scolds him when he hurts her or takes things that are hers. Of couse everything is hers and if she wants it he gets it. It’s funny really to see the two of them play and when they are tired to see them snuggle up together. I have a few pictures we took the other day that I will post soon, in which they are spooning with Sadie’s leg over Tucker’s body. Too Cute!
Life is just how it should be, we play together, we eat together and we sleep….well we sleep in the same room at the same time. lol. What? … Isn’t that what family does?

Introducing Tucker!

Well we finally have our new puppy. It took us a few days but we decided to name him Tucker. A mutt in the truest sense of the word, he is an American dog! As you propably saw from the pics, he is part basset, part terrier and part lab? There are probably some other breeds in there somewhere, but these were the ones we could see. He still sleeps a lot, being only 9 weeks old, but he is loving playing with his sister Sadie. Suprisingly Sadie seems to be doing great with handling the new puppy. I think sometimes she has more patience then I do, especially at bed time when he goes in his kennel and whines for an hour or so! :( Oh well I am told it only last for a week or two until he gets used to it. Thank God it is not a baby, with months and months of sleepless nights! Haha. Anyway time to get some whining in for tonight. More later.
